Accept is a space for honest self-discovery. We take the privacy of your conversations and personal data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Accept is operated by Thomas Dockstader. If you have questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us at privacy@accept.you.
When you use Accept, we collect the following types of information:
Account information. Your email address and password when you create an account. We use this to authenticate you and keep your data tied to your account.
Conversations. The full messages you exchange with Accept. These are stored so you can access and revisit your previous conversations at any time within the app, and so Accept can learn your patterns and provide more personalized guidance over time.
User Intelligence Profile. As you use Accept, the app builds a profile of your values, emotions, patterns, beliefs, and personal growth. This is generated from your conversations and is used to make your experience more meaningful.
Life stories. Formative memories and experiences you share during conversations. These are stored separately to help Accept connect patterns across your life.
Usage data. Basic anonymous analytics like page views and session duration. This helps us understand how people use the app so we can improve it. No personal conversation data is included in analytics.
Your data is used for one purpose: to power your self-discovery experience.
Accept is built on proprietary architecture and intellectual property that delivers the deeply personal conversations you will come to cherish. A third-party AI service is used as one component in generating responses. Per the AI service provider's terms, your conversations are not used to train their models. But the intelligence behind Accept, how it learns you, connects the dots, and guides your growth, is ours.
Your intelligence profile and conversation history are used to personalize your experience, including session openers, pattern recognition, and belief transformation work.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Accept uses third-party services to operate, including secure cloud infrastructure for data storage and authentication, an AI service for conversation processing, anonymous website analytics, and a payment processor for subscriptions. Your payment information is handled directly by our payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers or bank details.
Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Your data is isolated from other users at the database level. Authentication sessions are managed securely on your device.
Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@accept.you. When you request deletion, we will remove your account, all conversations, your intelligence profile, life stories, and any other personal data from our systems.
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time after deletion, but will not be actively used or accessible.
Accept does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We store minimal data on your device to maintain your authentication session and remember your preferences. Our analytics are anonymous and cookie-free, and do not track individual users across sites.
You have the right to:
Access your data. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Delete your data. You can request that we delete your account and all associated data.
Correct your data. You can request corrections to any inaccurate personal information.
Port your data. You can request an export of your conversations and profile data in a standard format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@accept.you.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion of your data, and the right to not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. Accept does not sell personal information to third parties.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data based on your consent (which you provide when creating an account) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving the service. You have the rights listed above, plus the right to withdraw consent and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Accept is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at privacy@accept.you and we will delete the account.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, reach out to us at privacy@accept.you.
